HLTAID011 Provide First Aid.

The one day Provide First Aid course would benefit all those at work, home or for leisure. The course provides an excellent general grounding in first aid and will enable you to perform appropriate first aid procedures and basic life support skills. This unit satisfies training requirements across a range of community and workplace settings.

Completion of online learning must be done prior to arrival at the class.

You must arrive 15 minutes prior to class start time for screening and hygiene procedures.

HLTAID011 Provide First Aid.

The course provides an excellent general grounding in first aid and will enable you to perform appropriate first aid procedures and basic life support skills. The unit satisfies training requirements across a range of community and workplace settings.

This course is delivered over 2 days and covers all first aid theory, demonstration, practice and assessment of both knowledge and skills required to complete the course.

You must arrive 15 minutes prior to class start time for screening and hygiene procedures.

HLTAID009 Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation.

An easy, short course that teaches you the skills to perform basic life support for both adults and infants.

This course includes online learning and practical training and assessment. Completion of online learning must be done prior to arrival at the class.

HLTAID009 Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation

This course is assessment only and no in-class training is provided. You must have current first aid knowledge and skills to attend this program. A certificate for HLTAID001 Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation or HLTAID009 Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation course attained within the last 18 months is highly desirable for entry to this class.

This course includes online learning and practical assessment. Completion of online learning must be done prior to arrival at the class.

HLTAID012 Provide First Aid in an education and care setting.

This course provides the skills and knowledge required to provide a first aid response to infants, children and adults and specifically applies to educators and support staff working within an education and care setting. This unit of competency satisfies the requirement set for approved first aid, asthma and anaphylaxis training for child carers and educators.

This course includes online learning and 1 day of practical training and assessment. Completion of online learning is required prior to arrival at the class.

HLTAID009 Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation
UETDRRF004 Perform rescue from a live LV panel
Please be advised that UETDRRF004 Perform rescue from a live LV panel was superseded by UETDRMP007 Perform rescue from a live low voltage panel in October 2022. St John WA will continue to train and assess the superseded unit of competency until the transition end date.

This course covers the performance of rescue procedures from live low voltage (LV) apparatus. It includes responsibilities for health, safety and risk management processes at all operative levels, adherence to safety practices and how to provide CPR to a non-responsive casualty.

This course includes online learning and practical training and assessment. Completion of online learning must be done prior to arrival at the class.

Providing first aid for mental health is just as important as being able to provide regular first aid, and it is the crucial first step in the process before the person is referred on to a professional to continue that care.

St John's First Aid for Mental Health course has been designed to cover all of this and equip you with the skills to be able to have relevant conversations and provide that immediate first aid care until you can help direct the person to the professional assistance they require.

HLTAID014 Provide Advanced First Aid


This course covers more advanced first aid topics and will teach you how to manage an incident and other first aiders until professional medical assistance arrives.

The course includes online learning and 2 days of practical training and assessment. Completion of online learning is required prior to arrival at the class.

You must arrive 15 minutes prior to class start time for screening and hygiene procedures.

HLTAID010 Provide basic emergency life support

This course will provide you with the skills and knowledge required to respond to life threatening emergencies in a range of situations, including those more likely in a workplace setting.

The course includes online learning and 6 hours of practical training and assessment. Completion of online learning is required prior to arrival at the class.

HLTAID015 Provide advanced resuscitation and oxygen therapy

The course provides the skills and knowledge required to use specialised equipment in the provision of resuscitation. Training is conducted using the Oxy-Viva 3 Resuscitator or similar.

This course includes online learning and 1 day in class for practical training and assessment. Completion of online learning is required prior to arrival at the class.

You must arrive 15 minutes prior to class start time for screening and hygiene procedures.

IMPORTANT: It is a national requirement that prior to your attendance in this course you have completed and been issued with a Statement of Attainment for the pre-requisite unit of competency HLTAID011 Provide First Aid.
